Test and publish your app

Test your app before publishing it. You can install your app in your own workspace while it is in Draft status.

Test install

1. In HowdyBell, click More, then Marketplace.
2. Find your app. It appears in the list because you are the developer.
3. Open it and click Install app.
4. Pick a location and click Allow. Your redirect URI receives the authorization code, just like a real install.
5. Your app is now installed in that location.

You can use the access token to make API calls and verify your integration works.

Check required fields

Before submitting for review, ensure your app has:

• Name
• Tagline
• Description
• Icon
• Support email
• At least one redirect URI
• At least one scope

If you use external billing, you also need the Payment page URL (https).

Submit for review

1. Go to your app page in the developer portal.
2. Click Submit for review.
3. The status changes to In review.

The HowdyBell team reviews your app.

Review outcomes

• Published: Your app is live in the marketplace. Users can install it.
• Rejected: Your app did not pass review. Check the Review note for details. Fix the issues and submit again.

Unpublish

If you need to take your app offline:

1. Go to your app page.
2. Click Unpublish.

The status changes to Unpublished. Existing installs remain active, but new users cannot install the app.

Stats

View your app's performance on the app page:

• Active installs: Number of locations where your app is installed.
• Live subscriptions: Number of active or trialing subscriptions.
• Revenue this month: Total revenue from paid subscriptions this month.
